Good (Spanish) movies that is. Just watched 2 of them in the past few days.

• El laberinto del fauno (Pan’s Labyrinth), a fantasy thriller kind of movie.
• El orfanato (The Orphanage), a drama thriller kind of movie.

Both produced by Guillermo del Toro, whom directed movies like Hellboy, Hellboy II and Blade II, although those are quite different kind of movies.

If you don’t mind the fact that they’re Spanish, I can really recommend both. What I really liked is that both don’t try to enforce a happy ending, both instead stick to an ending that fits.
