Todo

Things on my wish list to do sometime. Maybe I’ll never get to some of them, but wish to anyway. The mentioned software projects will be open source.

BattleBoard
A ‘Battle ship’ kind of game, later on maybe more game strategies that extend the game play. It will be single player initially, maybe dual player later on. Intend to write it for Nintendo DS as well as Windows, maybe Linux and Mac as well. It will be build using JUM, and most likely written in C or C++. It will provide various AI levels for single player mode, which also turns on/off other helping features, like showing sea besides sunken boats (as officially ships are not allowed to touch).

Bloto
A blog, page and photo management, like WordPress but including some additional features embedded in it instead of via plug-ins. Tailored to my wishes for Alt0.nl and deGoedeTweeling.net. This will be written in PHP, and initially tailored for MySQL.

Googlesk
A desktop integration of google services, like Mail, Tasks and Calender. It will allow multiple accounts to be shown and such. It will show the data embedded on the desktop wallpaper (like DeskTask does for Outlook). Likely Windows only in the beginning, might be ported to Linux and even Mac later on. Also intended to be build using JUM, and also likely written in C or C++.

WinStrip
I really do’nt like the lack of customization of the Windows taskbar. I want to be able to place the tray somewhere in the bottom right allong with some system information, like CPU usage, time and date and such. Along the top I want my quick launch, grouped and with menu’s and such. Also along the top should be the active windows. Again intended to be build using JUM and written in C or C++.

Tale
Timed And Logged Executor; a command line tool to run other commands with execution time restrictions, logging all output to a single file with timestamp prefixes.

Riit
I’ve got two sons, twins, Rik and Tim. I’ve been juggling with the idea in my head to write some fantasy book(s) with the main characters based on them. This is one of those things that might never happen, I don’t even know if I can write (any good) books, but I want to try to sometime.
