Gratis downloaden moet strafbaar worden.
Waarom? Dat lijkt mij niet de oplossing.
Hoe wil je dat gaan controleren? Al het data verkeer monitoren? En hoe zit het dan met SSL verbindingen? En versleutelde bestanden? Lijkt me aardig ondoenbaar en kostbaar.
Waarom klaagt de muziek en film industrie eigenlijk zo? Er gaan immers meer mensen naar de bioscoop. En waarom verdienen acteurs, regiseurs en bands dan nog steeds zo veel? Waarom bieden ze zelf niet meer en betere goedkope legale downloads aan? En waarom kosten CD’s en DVD’s nog steeds zoveel?
Er moeten toch veel betere oplossingen te bedenken zijn? Oplossingen die veel beter aansluiten bij de veranderde werkelijkheid, waarin rekening wordt gehouden met het feit dat mensen vanachter hun PC de muziek en films willen downloaden. Is het niet handiger om gewoon een deel van het geld dat je aan een ISP betaald, wordt belast ten gunste van de entertainment industrie? Een klein deel moet genoeg zijn lijkt me, waarschijnlijk is 0,1% al (ruim) voldoende.
Laat de mensen maar downloaden, ze betalen er dan toch voor.

Mankind is getting out of control, trying to control nature.
We are seeking ways to steer (or stop) hurricanes, determine which vegetation should grow in nature preserves and more.
But then I wonder; if you stop a hurricane, where does its energy go? If you steer it away from a coast, which coast do you steer it to? What about all the microscopic life it moves around the planet, the seeds it transports and such? There’s probably a ton more tiny details involved with hurricanes that make me believe it’s very very dangerous to try and control such powerful natural phenomenon.
And I also wonder; if we control which vegetation is allowed to grow, and which animals, in nature preserves, we don’t let evolution decide which life is strong enough to survive the future. By (over) protecting weaker species, we are making nature weaker to deal with future problems that we are throwing at it as well, like pollution and such. We are thus seriously undermining nature’s flexibility.
The best way to ‘destroy’ (life on) our planet is not polluting it, nor waisting its resources.
